About Jennie

Biography

Australian Harlequin Mills & Boon Romance author Jennie Adams is a Waldenbooks Bestseller, and Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice Award winner.  Hundreds of thousands of copies of Jennie’s Harlequin Romance novels are in print around the world in English, hardback, paperback and eBook formats and in over a dozen foreign language editions marketed in countries as diverse as Russia, Japan, Spain, Poland and South Africa.

Jennie holds an accreditation in writing studies from The Writing School, is a freelance contributor to Australian magazines, and a short story contributor to international children’s publications. As well as her regular Harlequin Romance releases, Jennie’s current work includes contributing to multi-author project The Brides of Bella Rosa Series, and a chapter contribution to the Valerie Parv writing How To book ‘Heart and Craft’.

An avid romance reader, particularly in the historical, paranormal and suspense romance sub-genres, Jennie is the self-confessed owner of an over-active imagination and plies it with enthusiasm in every way she can.

Jennie has travelled in America, trekked Australia’s Kosciusko National Park, lived and worked on a wheat/sheep farm, played piano at marriage ceremonies, sung in a choral production, and worked in jobs ranging from Legal transcription typist, to motor mechanic’s office assistant. As the call of Jennie’s butterfly gene gets stronger, she is activating more and more the maxim of ‘Have Laptop, Will Travel’.

Jennie has a personal interest in Aboriginal artwork and the depiction of Aboriginal spirituality, Dreamtime tales and legends through the medium of art. Jennie is active in encouraging upcoming Aboriginal artists and this year will be travelling to speak with artists and gallery owners showcasing, particularly, Wiradjuri artworks.

In her downtime Jennie has an on-again-off-again addiction to MySpace, adores clothes shopping, has a developing footwear fetish, is exploring new forms of musical entertainment, and endlessly studies the human condition wherever, in whatever form, and as often as she may do so.

Born in a small country town in New South Wales Australia, Jennie enjoys an extended family as unique and diverse as those depicted in her books.
